Welcome to FINCORP
Welcome to our website. Eswatini Development Finance Corporation (FINCORP) was launched by His
Majesty King Mswati III in November 1995 with the main aim of economically empowering Emaswati at
grassroot level through the provision of sound and sustainable financial services.
FINCORP is a registered private corporation with two shareholders namely The Government of Eswatini
and Tibiyo Taka Ngwane, holding 80% and 20% respectively.

The Government of Eswatini which holds 80% of the shares, is represented by the Ministry of Finance. It
is however Governments future plans to sell part of her share to private investors in order to allow
autonomy to the corporation which is expected to result in greater outreach, impact and further
improve the level of service delivery to the SME sector through better products and improved
technology.
Tibiyo Taka Ngwane, which hold the 20% share, is a national investment and development oriented
organization which has partners with local and foreign investors in several business sectors in the
country. Tibiyo Taka Ngwane invests either in the form of equity or loan finance. It is a unique business
entity in that the former King, His Majesty Sobhuza II created it on the year of independence, on 19
August 1968, by Royal Character, basically to complement the Government of Eswatini’s national
development efforts. The organization has created more than 20 000 employment opportunities
through its investment. Tibiyo Taka Ngwane also runs a Corporate Social Investment programme in
which it endeavors to play an effective role in the maintenance of cultural values and the upliftment of
the quality of life of the Swazi people. These programs comprise of three components: (1) The support
of tradition and culture, (2) The support of education and training; (3) Providing donations. Its
involvement in FINCORP is another indicator. Of its commitment to the development indigenous SME’s.
